Simon Says ~ Libby Campbell

Sadie is the perfect woman for Simon, if only she can learn to obey his rules.

Libby Campbell is here on my blog today with her contemporary spanking romance published earlier this year by Blushing Books.

When feisty Sadie Donohue meets Simon Jacobson at a New Year’s Eve party, she thinks it’s a chance encounter, but not all is as it seems. Simon is a busy executive who prefers to be the master of his own destiny.
Over dinner the next night his authoritative personality starts to emerge. Always one to question authority, Sadie rebuffs his gentle suggestions for more polite behavior with a lively, sharp wit. Simon is amused but unmoved.
If Sadie wants to continue seeing him she must accept his rules. Rules that will be reinforced by spankings when she fails to comply.
A strong, independent woman, Sadie struggles with his demands. A tragedy from Simon’s past makes him more determined than ever to make her obey. Their worlds collide.
This romance, set in cold climes of Canada, is warmed with frequent spankings.

Excerpt:
He took my hands and kissed the palms, like a man about to make love. Just like a man about to make love, he led me to the bedroom and lifted my nightgown over my head. Then all similarity disappeared. The belt slid out of his trousers with a wistful, sighing sound. A whisper of doom. He folded it in two and lay it on the bed. Next he sat beside it and pulled two pillows across his lap.

"Assume the position."

"What are the pillows for?"

"They are to raise your bottom, stretch your legs, and tighten the skin. That will increase the impact of each stroke. This time I'm not going to pin your hands. You are going to touch your fingertips to the floor. If, at any point, you raise your hands, we will start counting all over again. Also I want to hear you count the strokes as they land. If you miscount—"

"—we will start all over again."
"Correct." His voice had a hard metallic edge.
"What is the belt for?"

"When Brock first told about your performance in his office, I decided to use the belt for the entire session tonight. What I heard from Tracy, Layla, and a few others validated that decision. I got the sense that you were trying to provoke me for one reason or another, maybe even push me away. Perhaps you wanted to test me, to see if I will always follow through."

He took my wrists and eased me across his lap. My back arched and my bottom was served up like a round white target.

Rubbing my tender cheeks, he continued the lecture. "This is my guarantee: I will not be pushed away or tested. If you provoke me, you will be punished. I will always follow through; you can count on that. If you prove unresponsive to one level of discipline, I will always find another. I thought I'd proved that on the weekend with the hairbrush and switch. It seems that you're a slow learner."
